Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his initial title for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a former number one, has experienced a torrid season, winning just one win at the big events and undergoing a setback at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in specific - caused him exiting of the top ten and finally separating with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive win over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's first title following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court since that period of 2023.
Success also means the Russian has secured twenty-one titles at 21 distinct competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, comprising in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had caused observers to wonder if his ability to play at the highest level was finished.
Yet the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and play positively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the initial set against the tricky opponent, securing 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.
The pair traded break points in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden professional victory, gained dominance to force a third set.
Moutet defended four initial break points in a close deciding set before Medvedev won the break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, he clinched the title with a shot at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
