Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
